Help · Play together
Bring friends to the lane
Bowl a Game Center duel across the internet or host a nearby game on the same Wi-Fi.
1v1 duels
- Open Play Together and choose a duel.
- Pick a 500- or 1,000-point stake.
- Invite a Game Center friend or accept an incoming challenge.
- Complete the game. The better regulation score wins the stake.
Game Center handles your player identity and match connection. Make sure you are signed in under iOS Settings if friends or leaderboards do not appear.
Nearby games
Nearby play lets one device host a lane that other devices can discover on the same local network. The host chooses the game setup and can fill open positions with bots.
- Allow Local Network access when iOS asks.
- Keep all devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Choose Host on one device and Join on the others.
- Guest or isolated Wi-Fi networks may block devices from finding one another.
Bots and mixed groups
Bots can fill a lane when fewer people are present. Motion and touch bowlers can play in the same group, and bumpers can make a shared game friendlier for new players.
If a game does not connect
- Confirm every device is online and using the current app version.
- For nearby play, verify Local Network permission in iOS Settings.
- Leave and reopen the lobby after changing Wi-Fi.
- For duels, confirm Game Center is signed in and not restricted by parental controls.
